Under the stay-at-home order, productions were faced with many logistical challenges. We were able to follow safety guidelines (such as wearing masks, sanitizing equipment and remote client sessions) to develop a video series for Nextdoor, the social network for neighbors. The video series launched on multiple social platforms (including TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat) with the vision of communicating how critically helpful Nextdoor can be, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It's important that we work together, during this crisis. Its impact affects everyone, and now more than ever, we need to help lift each other up. No matter the challenges, we will be as flexible and collaborative as possible in our strategies to help tell your story and share your message.
The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly changed many aspects of our daily lives. It has changed our healthcare system, our business operations, our daily routines, and our safety measures. Embracing that change and thinking critically is a commitment to my clients, and throughout the pandemic, my doors have remained open. Working together, we can strategically re-purpose existing commercial work for delivery and develop new ideas that offer value to viewers while adhering to heath guidelines in this difficult time.
Zoe Saldana has starred in major box office films, such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Avatar and Star Trek. Behind the scenes, she is a passionate and dedicated mother with a story all her own.
In a series of three vignettes, I told Zoe's story: from her Latin upbringing and loss of her father to her latest nonprofit endeavor, BESE.
After 15 years as the Center for Financial Services Innovation, President and CEO, Jennifer Tescher, decided it was time to broaden the company mission and help establish financial health for all.
I worked directly with Jennifer, her marketing team and the production company to create the official announcement video.
The brand story is available on the Financial Health Network website.
The New York chapter of The Children's Heart Foundation and their little heart warriors were invited to ring the stock market opening bell at the NASDAQ Bell Ringer Ceremony. This was a genuine opportunity for the foundation to speak about the importance of funding congenital heart defect research.
During this time, their featured content premiered on the NASDAQ Times Square video boards. This included two videos designed specifically for these displays. Full coverage of the event can be found through NASDAQ.
Izzy was excited about a the idea of a video interview. She's very passionate about helping other kids with heart defects, and she hoped it would help raise donations for CHD (congenital heart defect) research. Her wish came true. Izzy's story was shared during a Giving Tuesday campaign, lead by The Children's Heart Foundation. They exceeded their goal and raised over $110,000!
I previously edited a separate micro-doc, which premiered at the Red Tie Ball, a Chicago-based fundraiser for local The Children's Heart Foundation chapter. This narrative helped raise $77,000 directly after the premiere, with an additional $200,000 after the event. This will fund two research projects for the foundation.
The National Youth of the Year Awards is a Facebook Live event broadcast from Washington, D.C., which has garnered over 38k views! The show included exclusive blue carpet interviews with celebrities, such as Denzel Washington, Kelly Rowland, JB Smoove and Ruth Carter.
I had the opportunity to oversee the technical production of the Facebook Live broadcast, design all creative in-show animations and edit all post-show content for outlet distribution.
Each year, we expand upon the offerings to deliver an even bigger and better experience. One outstanding young person is named Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s national teen spokesperson. The National Youth of the Year is a role model, leader and advocate for the nearly 4 million youth served by Boys & Girls Clubs each year, and all of America’s young people.
It’s a messy game, but a fun one. Pro football players, Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins, took breakfast to the next level in this entertaining video for Just Crack an Egg. Yes, many eggs were cracked in the process.
The video has over 4 Million views on Youtube, and counting. Egg-cellent!
RED Cinematographer, Tom Swiss, captured some wonderful shots of savanna wildlife, in the Maasai Mara, of Kenya. In a collaborative effort, I edited his shots into a series of nature micro-documentaries.
The micro-docs piqued the interest of National Geographic cinematographer, Russell MacLaughlin. Inspired by Tom's work, specifically with the lions, Russell extended Tom an invitation to join the next film for Nat Geo Wild.
As a editor, I take pride in knowing my clients are able to achieve success from the work we are crafting together. Bon voyage, Tom!
From his tough Croatian roots to his firefighter boots, UFC Heavyweight Champion, Stipe Miocic, was born to fight. Producer Matthew Soden and I sought to capture Stipe’s fighting spirit in this cinematic, micro-documentary.
Truly a day in the life of Stipe, we interviewed him on his drive to physical therapy and back. We talked with his friends and fellow firefighters. We captured his intensity and determination during training.
As a licensed drone operator, I capture aerial shots of hometown environment. Then, I edited this video in under 10 hours for next-day distribution to Sports Illustrated, among other outlets. We appreciate Modelo for the opportunity to tell a great story.
Working with AKA Media and Strata Blue, we used intelligent data to strategize a marketing campaign for the Contours brand. As the lead editor on the feature commercial, I helped craft a video that would be used for all online eCommerce. I also helped design a wide array of social ads, which prompted viewers to purchase during holiday deals.
Within the first hour of its sale, the product sold out on Amazon! Thanks to the power of machine learning, and the creative vision of our production teams, it was an incredibly successful campaign.
In this witty ESPN feature, Broncos Quarterback, Trevor Siemian shares his greatest holiday gift idea. He wants to give his offensive linemen Skittles-dispensing parkas!
With a combination of great writing, perfectly exaggerated music composition and a hilarious concept from the agency partners, I was able to edit this comedic narrative for fans everywhere, during the holidays.
It was the first of its kind, and I was fortunate enough to edit the commercial.
Quaker teamed up with actress Tiffani Thiessen (Saved by the Bell) to launch the first ever Bring Your Best Bowl™ Contest, a nationwide search for the next Quaker oatmeal flavor. To kick off the contest, Quaker hosted a pop-up event in New York City’s Times Square. Tiffani was also there, to inspire and encourage fans to submit their oatmeal ideas.
Golden Globe Award-winning actor Idris Elba gave the half-court welcome at the SWAC Basketball Tournament finale. Actors Tatyana Ali and Lance Gross were also in attendance, to promote the Toyota Green Initiative, which brings green awareness to college students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Working on-location, I was able to turnaround the edit for this video in under 6 hours.
